Nursery & Gardens
As the waning days of August lead us towards the cooler days of autumn, our gardening souls will be rejuvenated. Once again, we will want to venture back to our gardens.
At The Mixed Border, we always strive to offer “better plants for better gardens” and even though summer’s soaring temperatures have been a challenge, we have a spectacular array of well-cared for plants that will provide long-lasting color and texture throughout the fall.

"This was one of those perfect New England days in late summer where the spirit of autumn takes a first stealing flight, like a spy, through the ripening country-side, and, with feigned sympathy for those who droop with August heat, puts her cool cloak of bracing air about leaf and flower and human shoulders."
–Sarah Orne Jewett
